In 2001, IQWEST Information Technologies, Inc. mastered OCR technology in ways that are still unique only to IQWEST. Since our OCR technology was so incredibly accurate, it was our belief that embedding similar technology in indexing of litigation documents could further our ability to help our clientele.

This led us to the inescapable conclusion that we must continue to rely on a hybrid of human indexing and intelligent machine learning technologies to further enhance litigation team’s ability to locate the hot documents or identify possible privilege. The decision was to refine the human coding process in ways to improve accuracy and reduce costs, adding technology where practical. In these efforts, we have been extraordinarily successful – so much so that our costs and turnaround time of projects are better than those of companies that rely on only one approach! And, our accuracy is incredible.
